Just for fun - birthday card

I was at the elementary school yesterday and was talking to the school nurse while waiting to pick Karen up from Drama Club. I was explaining that I was a little behind on birthday cards for the staff. You see, one of the things I do for the PTA is create a handmade card for each staff member in the school. I think I am 3 cards behind....so Mrs. Murphy tells me that she doesn't need a card. I raise an eyebrow and ask if this is a MILESTONE birthday coming up...to which she SMIRKS. The big *f* word! I decided to make a card *especially* for her - she treats my girls so nice! She is just one of those people who is *SO* loving to all the kids in the school! School nurses hold a special place in my heart - my mom is a retired school nurse!

Card is a chocolate chip base - run through the textile cuttlebug folder! I *heart* this color combo - a little sage - a little white....a LOT of chocolate! I love stamping on something other than white. This chocolate ink on sage shadow paper with Nichole's With Sympathy set {Papertrey Ink} is just so divine! It's a beautiful soft look - which is clearly not just for sympathy cards. I stamped the sentiment Papertrey {Papertrey Ink} on white cardstock - then punched it with the word window punch. I distressed the edges of the sage and white - then finished the card with a chocolate and white ribbon combo!

What do you think? Just for fun....

stamps: Papertrey Ink {Papertrey, With Sympathy}
paper: chocolate, sage, white (SU!)
ink: chocolate chip
misc: textile cuttlebug {eclectic paperie}, may arts (sheer white polkadot), SU! {chocolate grossgrain ribbon}, word window punch
