LSC210: Happy Birthday
What is the deal lately -- I find myself lacking time to stamp - so today's challenge (LSC210 - time) was perfect. I went into my stamp room and just STAMPED QUICK! I am behind on birthday cards for the staff at school. I coordinate a committee which makes cards for staff events (birthdays, babies, retirement, etc.). I had 2 quick March birthdays and wanted to get these out to the staff so they were not so late.
Both Cards also qualify for Kristina's color challenge - well, maybe the pink is a little dark, but I think it is good enough! {looks around for the challenge police!}
Both cards use the same supplies: close to cocoa base, white layer, designer paper layer, scalloped circle and punched circle (pinkish - rose). I also punched two butterflies with my Martha butterfly punch with coordinating designer paper. Some pink and brown ribbon. The left card has the ribbon in the bottom corner - the edges of the white distressed. The right card has the edge torn, the ribbon strip attached right to the designer paper and tucked under the white layer. So simple - but the teachers LOVED them! Both cards use the sentiment are from Papertrey Ink around and about sentiments. I find myself reaching for this set often!
What do you think - I have been using chocolate chip and cocoa a LOT lately! Maybe it is lacking in my diet - giving up sweets for lent and all!
I am off to my baby sister's 30th birthday party - tomorrow I will share the gift I made for her - it came out so PERFECT!
stamp: Around & about sentiments {Papertrey Ink}
ink: cocoa, chocolate chip marker (to make antenna and a body on the butterfly)
paper: cocoa, white, designer papers (SU!)
misc: punch (martha-butterfly), ribbon, punches (circle, scalloped circle)

Fabulous cards!
Okay I need to find one of those Martha butterfly punches! This card is too cute. Great job with the color combo.
It's a good life!
