FS156: ButterflyEars

My card is based on Nichole's {CAS40} card. I loved the clean and simple look of the card and the textured background. My changes:

stamp set -- color -- textured background (used different cuttlebug folder) - used different edge punch, flipped card on it's side - moved ribbon.

I started by flipping the card to horizontal. A bashful blue base, then a white layer, first I edge punched it with the MS punch and then I cuttlebugged it with the stylized flower folder. The sentiment is stamped on white with black ink and colored with copics. I used some stickles on the flower and tied the ribbon on the textured layer. I have the sentiment in the main image, not underneath. Four blue (Stampin' Up!) brads complete the design. Main image raised on dimensionals! The stamps are from Say it big! A new release (CHA release) from Our Craft Lounge.

This soft blue card will surely give comfort to the recipient.....

paper: bashful blue, white
ink: black, copics

FS154: JDmommy

I created a card for this weeks FS challenge based on the {CAS49 for Penelope} card by Anne (aka JDmommy).

The changes:

color, stamp set, moved sentiment, added buttons

I used the Sweet on You {Our Craft Lounge} stamp set to create this fun card. The strawberries and hearts were colored with copics, then I used some stickles on top of the berries and hearts. The image was punched out with a scalloped square punch and then mounted on a chocolate chip punched layer. Three PTI buttons in the center (the center one is floral shaped -- so cute)....pink and chocolate dotted ribbon in a criss-cross pattern behind the main image. I love the clean and simple design!

stamps: Sweet on You {Our Craft Lounge}
paper: pretty in pink, chocolate chip, white
ink: copics, black
misc: ribbon, stickles, buttons (papertrey ink), punches (scalloped square)

FS153: Weebeestampin

I be luvin' Weebeestampin! The snowflake card Wendy created with the kraft, black and pink was just such a WOW! I couldn't change those colors -- with the exception of stamping the main image and sentiment pink cardstock instead of white. For my card, I simply changed the image, created the card with a Valentines theme. The polka dot heart image from the Hearts & Hugs stamp set was fun to work with. I used it with craft ink on the kraft cardstock. I dry pressure embossed the pink layer with the heart blocks cuttlebug folder. I punched the main image circle out, stamped the heart at a slight angle and colored in with a copic marker to make it pop. I dotted around the heart with a white gel pen. The sentiment "Be Mine" was stamped on the side of the main image. The smaller circle has a white craft stamped image of that polkadot heart. I stamped the {mwah} sentiment with black ink on top. I used dimensionals to adhere the small circle atop the pink and black polkadot ribbon.

stamps: Hearts & Hugs {Our Craft Lounge}
paper: black, kraft, pink passion
ink: white craft, black
misc: ribbon (may arts), cuttlebug (heart block), dimensionals, white gel pen, copic marker, punches

FS152 & Happy New Year

Happy 2010! Here is the spectacular six on New Year's Eve. We watched the ball drop and then headed off to bed! (Yawn) - may sound lame, but that's the way we roll here -- I wasn't ready to go anywhere or do anything with the kids in tow, so we decided to make a delicious dinner here - had Uncle Joe over and we had a quiet night!

I am back to stamping! WOOOHOOO!!
I actually made a few things over the holidays - just did not get a chance to photograph them all! I made a few holiday cards for the shut ins at church, made some wonderful gifts and didn't get a chance to take any photos! :(

Oh well! I will be more diligent this year.

This week's featured stamper is Ann (Ardodd) on SCS. She has a great variety in her gallery.
My card is based on {this happy bird-day card}. I changed the main image shape to a circle, flipped the card, changed the colors and shifted the sentiment over. I used Jungle love by Our Craft Lounge, some designer paper by Die Cuts with a view and a little navy, green and red paper. I dug out some eyelets from my stash and added those to my card. The image was colored with copics. I stamped the branch twice and cut out the little portion that was cut off with the circle and added the leaves so they come right out of the circle.

This is a fun, bright card which would make an adorable valentine! (only one month away!!!)....

stamps: Our Craft Lounge Jungle love
paper: DCWV, white, navy, green, red (su)
ink: black (ranger), copics
misc: punches, eyelets
