FS160: AngellaDCrockett

I just love the way this card turned out -- it was fun to make too! AngellaDCrockett is this week's featured stamper. She has an amazing gallery of beautiful cards.

My card is based on a card which Angella made {here}. I made some changes from the original design - I still used pink and kraft -- but decided to change to designer paper and eliminate the the paper piercing. I used dew drops in the corners -- added a flower (which is actually a brad) -- with a dew drop in the center.
I started with PTI kraft paper, then added some designer paper. In each corner I used the ticket corner punch on the edge of each corner and placed a dew drop. The ribbon is may arts -- tied in a knot. I used more kraft paper (ticket corner punched edges) with some pink pirouette paper and the sentiment (from Our Craft Lounge's Big Birthday Wishes}. The flower brad has a dew drop in the center as well. Main image is on dimensionals.

paper: kraft (pti), pink pirouette, designer paper
ink: pomegranate
misc: ticket corner punch, ribbon, brad, dew drops, dimensionals

FS159: Jovialjudi

This week's card is a case of a card created by Judi (aka Jovialjudi) called ISC213. I loved the clean look of the white base, the blues and browns. I created this one with a different stamp set, some fun ribbon and pearls, and slightly different colors.

I used some designer paper (Abbey Road) in squares and layered them on some chocolate chip paper. The main image is a stamp {Say it Big} from Our Craft Lounge. The dotted stamp is from {Big Birthday Wishes} The flowers are also from that set. I used some may arts ribbon in blue/brown and heated it up to give it a curled look. There is some dew drops on the corners of the main image and in the center of the flowers. I used cool carribean ink and chocolate chip ink (SU!). The flowers are colored with copics markers. Main image is mounted on dimensionals.

stamps: Our Craft Lounge {Say it Big} {Big Birthday Wishes}
paper: white, chocolate chip, designer paper (Abbey Rd)
ink: caribbean and chocolate chip (su)

OCLSC1

I created this card for the Our Craft Lounge Sketch Challenge #1 (OCLSC1)

I used some fun designer paper I picked up at CHA (I cannot remember which booth!) and used Hippity Hoppity {Our Craft Lounge} to create this cute little Easter card.

I used the oval punches on the sentiment, with some dew drops on each side of the sentiment. The sentiment is raised up on dimensionals atop a piece of ribbon. A mixture of light and dark pink, celery and white make for a fun spring card!

Stamps: Our Craft Lounge {hippity hoppity}
Paper: white, celery, designer paper
Ink: black, copics
Misc: dew drops, dimensionals, spica, ribbon, punches

CC258: With Sympathy

Hi Everyone -- I am pleased to be on a stamping roll again! I have been playing in challenges and getting some serious stamping time in! YAY! It helps my mental stability! :)

This card is for the color challenge this week:
Perfect Plum, Soft Suede (I used close to cocoa) and Pale Plum.

I used the Our Craft Lounge set Say it Big. It's a great set for creating BOLD sentiment cards, which are *SO* in right now! This one I created without any white or ivory colored paper, which is something I like to do now and again! I started with perfect plum base and added a strip of pale plum and close to cocoa on the bottom. I used the scalloped edge punch on the cocoa strip. There is a layer of pale plum which is dry pressure embossed with the swiss dots folder, and the main image is stamped with perfect plum ink on pale plum, then mounted on a layer of cocoa. I also stamped the flower from the same set in perfect plum, then colored it with copic markers. I used some spica gel pens to add a hint of bling to the flower. The button (cocoa) is threaded with some plum grossgrain ribbon (SU!). I used the same ribbon to wrap around the card, tied off with a simple knot.

stamps: Our Craft Lounge {Say it big}
paper: pale plum, perfect plum, close to cocoa (SU!)
ink: perfect plum, copics
misc: cocoa button, spica gel pen, ribbon (SU!), cuttlebug (swiss dots), corner rounder, scalloped edge punch

FS158: HamiltonGal

This week's featured stamper (FS158) is Laurie (aka HamiltonGal). I loved her Inspiration Challenge (IC216) card. It was a beautiful, clean and simple sympathy card. I knew I could re-create the card as a fun, whimsical valentine for my love...Todd. After nearly 25 years together....it's nice to make him a simple card. I got him a three pack blu-ray of Pirates of the Caribbean. Romantic, huh?

This card features papertrey ink papers. It starts with a kraft base, a sweet blush layer, then a dark chocolate layer (cuttlebug'd with swiss dots). The sweet blush circle has a heart punched piece of dark chocolate cardstock (also cuttlebug'd with swiss dots). Under the heart, I layered some pink sheer polkadot ribbon. I added a button with some more of the same ribbon. The side of the card has the same simple knot with some satin ribbon. The sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge's valentine set called {Hearts & Hugs}. It is stamped in PTI dark chocolate ink on kraft paper.

So the changes from Laurie's card:
colors -- used blush instead of navy
added more ribbon and a button, used punched image for main image, not a stamped image
added the sentiment onto a banner instead of directly on the card

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Stamps: Our Craft Lounge {Hearts & Hugs}
paper: PTI (dark chocolate, sweet blush, kraft)
ink: dark chocolate
misc: ribbon, punches, cuttlebug (swiss dots), button

WT257: Odds Are

Back to reality -- back to stamping! I had to make a birthday card (requested by the party attendee that the card be purple) -- I decided to play in the way to use it challenge (Odds are) -- using odd numbers of items on your card.

Some of the oddities:
3 circles, 3 primas, three dew drops, 3 score lines on the bottom.
1 main image, 1 sentiment, 1 side strip
1 small ribbon with one brad

Stamps from Our Craft Lounge {Fairy Dust is a Must}, papers from SU!, ribbon is my scraps, prima flowers.
This was a fun one! Happy Birthday Courtney!

stamps: Our Craft Lounge {Fairy dust is a must}
paper: Stampin' Up! (orchid, turquoise, white, green, designer paper (ret.))
ink: black & copics
misc: ribbon, dewdrops, primas, cuttlebug, brad, scor-pal, copic spica

Birthday Bash Challenge

Hi Everyone -- Happy Anniversary to Nichole and Papertrey Ink. Someone pinch me -- I cannot believe I am still rubbing elbows with these ROCKSTARS! And you thought 2009 was exciting at Papertrey Ink.....Hold onto your hats people -- 2010 is going to be a whirlwind of FUN at Papertrey Ink. My stamp designs are going to be a great addition to your Papertrey Ink collection of stamps and I am sure you will go GaGa over them!

As a Papertrey customer, I anticipate the sneak peeks every month and I love those fun surprises Nichole has in store during her countdowns! Nichole does such an amazing job with the reveals! I sometimes SHOUT at my computer! (good things!!!)

I am also showing my new headshot -- It was amazing at CHA that I would meet people and they looked *exactly* like their photographs...and other people looked nothing like them. Some people told me that I didn't look like my photograph and I realized that my old photograph was a year old! I decided that an updated photo was in order - so my daughter took this the other day.
Let's get down to BIZ-NESS! Here is the birthday graphic I created for the Anniversary Celebration. I uploaded them to a remote server so that you can download them to your computer in a single sheet for printing or a set of four (I know I *always* make mistakes, and I figured you would want to have a few to play with - so go for it!)..... I cannot wait to see what you create with this one! I figured you could print it on the beautiful Papertrey cardstock -- or even print it on white and color with copics! Be sure to go back to Nichole's { blog } and post your link to participate in the Anniversary Challenge! And let me know what you think of this little design.....do you like it?

{Make A Wish - single copy}
{Make A Wish - large sheet}

Here is the card I created with it - using Bitty Baby Blessings designer paper, Lemon Tart and Aqua Mist cardstock, along with some Lemon Tart satin ribbon!

{here is the fine print!}
Each member of the 2010 Papertrey Stamp Designer Team has created a birthday image for you to download, print and utilize as an embellishment for a handmade birthday card, wishing Papertrey a happy birthday! After creating your project, upload a photo of it to your blog or online gallery, then proceed to Nichole's blog and link your photo there within the Mister Linky box provided. You can enter one project for EACH designer's graphic, so you can have up to NINE entries total, meaning nine chances to win!

Don't delay, because you only have until Wednesday February 3rd, 7am EST to enter this contest! An amazing prize package including SEVEN of the best selling stamp sets (a $159 value!) from Papertrey's designers is up for grabs, so you want to be sure to add your project to the list before the deadline arrives! The randomly selected winner will be announced by noon the same day on the February Release Winners page. Have fun and good luck!
