Sneak Peek: Train Tracks day two

All Aboard for some Birthday Fun with the new Train Tracks set I created for Papertrey Ink.

Sometimes I have a tough time with masculine cards because I want to use accessories like ribbon to add some fun focal points. I have to remember - NO RIBBON! UGH! Thankfully, I have enough buttons to stretch from here to NYC and back! I decided to go with this fun color combo of new leaf, hawaiian shores and orange zest! The new leaf base was run through the picnic plaid impression plate. I used a strip of hawaiian shores, distressed on the edge and a strip of orange zest, run through the crimper. A trio of buttons with rustic thread under the orange crimped layer. The train was stamped on die cut (yes, this set has a coordinating die) select white cardstock. I stamped in black ink and colored with a variety of copic markers. The trains were adhered with foam squares. The sentiment {All aboard for birthday fun} was stamped in black ink just above the train car. This color combo works really well with this week's CAS114 inspiration on SCS!

I will be blogging more samples this week! Hope you stop by to see some more fun ideas tomorrow!

This set is magical! It certainly fills the need for little boys (I now have a grandson) as well as dads who love anything mechanical. Your projects are fantastic!

This is so cute Beth, I really love your color combo. The train set looks great, but I do have one comment that's not so positive...sorry. I think when they made your stamps, they were off with the placement. The two Ls in the word All are so close it almost looks like Al aboard. But of course you wouldn't read it that way so I'm sure it wouldn't really matter.

When my boys were little they would have loved getting this - so cute.

That color combo is fabulous! This stamp set is a must have for me. My grandfather was a model train collector who had a whole miniature village and track set up. I can't wait to scrap and stamp the great photos of him and his trains. These will make for amazing memories. Thank you so much!
