CC205: Perfect Pink Kiwis

Sometimes I find myself stamping for stamping - not for fun. Today I felt the need to stamp for fun - so I popped over to SCS to check out today's color challenge. I saw Emily had posted - so I cleared off a space on my stampin' desk and started creating. I grabbed a cuttlebug folder (spots and dots) and some cardstock (pretty in pink, perfect plum) and a scrap of the bella rose designer paper. I also grabbed some old SU! ribbon from my stash! My motto this year is OUT WITH THE OLD!
I punched the plum with my SU! scalloped edge punch. The sentiment is from Hanna Stamps! {Things Hanna would say}. I stamped it in kiwi ink on white cardstock. I rounded the edge of the white cardstock with my SU! corner rounder.

I found some lavendar primas in my stash and went to work coloring them with my markers (SU!). I started with perfect plum on the edges and then blended in the color with pale plum. I spritzed them with glimmer mist {cherub pink} from Eclectic Paperie. I used some generic buttons which were "kiwi-sh" and threaded them with making memories thread. I ran the thread through my kiwi pad to change the color to "kiwi-ish". This photo doesn't do the glimmer justice! It is really pretty!

That's my color combo card! What do you think?

stamps: Hanna Stamps! {things Hanna would say}
paper: plum, pink, bella rose dp, white (SU!)
ink: perfect plum (marker), pale plum (marker), kiwi
misc: ribbon (SU!), primas, glimmer mist (epaperie), MM thread, buttons, CB spots & dots (Epaperie)
