CC204A: Sneak Peek Hanna In Vogue {Shop 'till you drop!}

I am still floating on cloud 9 - and cannot believe that so many of you are fans of PTI and Nichole too! YAY! I cannot believe the ride I am on....I was telling Nichole that it was almost like I was anticipating baby number 7 - the excitement (I never found out the gender of the baby until they arrived) - the anticipation of last night rivaled the giddiness I felt waiting for my announcement as a 2009 Stamp Designer for Papertrey Ink. The best thing about this - no weight to loose after the announcement and no sleepless nights! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

I have a few people to thank! First and foremost: Nichole Heady - who is taking a huge chance on me! Second - my husband Todd and my kids who support my crafting and cheer for me! Third - my crafting friends (you know who you are girls) - they inspire me every day! Fourth - my friend Cami who pushed me to start offering my graphic designs to the public. Fifth - my wonderful brother in law Michael (a computer whiz) who installed Adobe on my first computer which allowed me to play and learn! and finally my BFF in real life Debbie who uploaded illustrator on my Viao and walked me through how to create my stamp sets!

Now back to STAMPIN! The reason why we all come together - our love for stampin! A close second would have to be shoppin' (online or in real life - I love shoppin!)....

I made this card as my final sneak peek for the new Hanna In Vogue set which is being released this Thursday! I took today's color challenge (204A) {creamy caramel, coral and olive} and created this card.

I start out with a white base - then added some olive paper. I did some sewing on the base layer -
sewing the basic grey designer paper directly to the olive base. I did some paper piecing on the main image. Basically, I stamped the Hanna on white cardstock (with black soot ink) - then again on a scrap of caramel and a scrap of coral. I trimmed out the pieces I wanted to add (shirt, hat, pants) and added them to the main image on white. I used copics to color in the Hanna. This Hanna is very realistic - she hits the food court! I love that she has a little hip action goin' on. I can see her swingin' those hips in the aisles - singin "If you like it then you should'a putta ring on it!" Cause that's the way she rolls!

Sentiment printed on the computer - punched with a circle punch then placed on the scalloped caramel circle.

stamps: Hanna In Vogue
paper: white, olive, caramel, coral (Stampin' Up!), basic grey
ink: black soot (ranger), copics
misc: punches (circle and scalloped circle, SU!), sewing machine, white gel pen, velvet rick rack

Well,I'm really excited for you. I have been on your blog several times and I admired how you got on the stick and learned how to do blog banners and web design on your own. I bought the Adobe photoshop CS3/web premium and I'm hoping to do the same thing. I'm so impressed that you are becoming a PTI Design team member! Like you, I love PTI and just found it this year. I have so many of the sets! I would love to be on the design team some day....
Oh! We have another thing in common! I have a lot of kids too. I have 10. I love having kids. They are soooooo much fun!!! Well...congratulations! I'm very happy for you! Maybe someday....

Hi, Beth! I figured a comment on the other post would get lost in the craziness, but I just wanted to give you a huge welcome, and I can't wait to play with your PTI stuff, girlie!
