HSAC1: Foyer

So one of this week's fun things over at the HANNA FORUM is the challenges going on during the anniversary celebration. Take a photo of something in your home and then design a card from that inspiration piece. I chose this iron scroll which we have in our foyer/staircase. It is a deep chocolate color and it backs up to the large wall which is painted a color called Peanut Shell. It looks caramel to me, and with the chocolate and the white, I decided to use those colors as the basis for my card. The image is from "for the soul" and the sentiment from Hanna's everyday sentiment set. I did both in close to cocoa ink on the caramel. The base card (caramel) is dry pressure embossed with the textile cuttlebug folder. Think that is still one of my favorites....that and swiss dots. I stamped the stained glass window and then colored it in with white gel pen and sakaura stardust (can you see it?). I thought this would be a nice card for a boy for confirmation or first communion. Something masculine, yet elegant. Although the ribbons are a big much for a boy, I like them. What do you think?

stamps: Hanna {For the soul, Everday Sentiments}
paper: creamy caramel, whisper white, chocolate chip
ink: close to cocoa
misc: ribbon (mayarts/starlitstudio), cuttlebug (textile/eclecticpaperie), white gel pen (SU!), sakura stardust
