These lil fellows are Crazy! They actually remind me of the crazy penguins from Madagascar. THOSE GUYS CRACK ME UP! My daughter Karen, soon to be 11, is one of those kids who repeats movie lines! She does the voices with such accuracy. She cracks me up! There are some classics quotes in that movie!
My favorites:
Skipper: Status.
Private: [Walking on computer keyboard] It's no good, Skipper. I don't know the codes.
Skipper: [Slapping Private] Don't give me excuses, give me results!
Or:
Skipper: Just smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave. Kowalski, progress report.
Kowalski: [In a hole] We're only 500 feet from the main sewer line.
Skipper: And the bad news?
Kowalski: [laying a broken plastic spoon at Skipper's feet] We've broken our last shovel.
Skipper: Right. Rico, you're on litter patrol. We need shovels, and find more Popsicle sticks. We don't want to risk another cave-in.
Private: And me, Skipper?
Skipper: I want you to act cute and cuddly, Private. Today we're gonna blow this dump.
This card was done with a Kraft base, then I added some designer paper and a layer of close to cocoa. I sponged on some white craft ink. The main image is stamped right on the bashful blue. I used my black soot ink pad, then colored the penguins with white gel pen (SU!) and copics. I stamped the sentiment (Hanna Everyday sentiments) on the designer paper. I used my new SU! scalloped edge punch on the side. My bellies are ribbon and these fun white snowflakes. I got them years ago at the local craft store. They were unearthed in my stash! :) I used my white gel pen to create the snow on the close to cocoa layer and the snowpile under the penguins. Double mayarts sheer ribbon (blue and brown). What do you think?
We've been ratted out, boys. Now STAMP! STAMP! STAMP!
So there are all kinds of fun challenges this week on the Hanna Forum over at Splitcoast. This one is part of the Tuesday challenge: Using Embellishments (You know I love my bellies!)....
Take a peek at the forum: HANNA FORUM
stamps: Hanna (Penguin Antics, Hanna Everyday Sentiments)
paper: kraft, bashful blue, close to cocoa, designer paper (my minds eye)
ink: black soot, white craft
misc: copics, white gel pen, su scalloped edge punch, ribbon (mayarts/starlitstudio), snowflakes

another great penguin line:
Skipper the Penguin: Captain's Log: Embarking into hostile environment. Kowalski! We'll need to win the hearts and the minds of the natives. Rico! We'll need special tactical equipment. We're gonna face extreme peril. Private probably won't survive.
