KSS: Graduation - Class of 2008

LinkI thought that I got away from Graduation season without having to make a card. I really though so...but then I got an announcement in the mail the other day, so I felt the need to make a card. These are the school colors (black and what looked like pomegranate on the announcement). I whipped this one up with my 3 step graduation stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I started the cap with going grey (solid - step 1), then with basic grey (stippled - step 2), then finished it with black ink (base of cap and tassle - step 3). Punched the image out with the circle punch and layered it on a scalloped circle. Look out world and Class of 2008 sentiments from the same set. I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder on the black and pomegranate paper. The tassle is stamped with pomegratate ink (step 1 - solid (stamped off)) and then again with pomegranate (step 2 - tassle strings). Pomegranate stitched ribbon from SU! All paper and ink from Stampin' Up!. I stamped the cap twice and trimmed the mortar board top and popped it up on dimensionals. I added a small bit of sparkle with a sakura stardust pen on the 2008 and tassle.
