There are so many things going on right now! I decided that there were going to be some changes going on in my life. I have recently been elected as the President of the PTA for our elementary school. That is going to take up a lot of my time. I am going to cut back on lots of my design work for FreckledANDfun. As much as I love doing banners and watermarks, it takes up so much of my free time. I want to dedicate my time to stamp design and papercrafting. My passion is really stamping, so I want to refocus my passion. I am pleased to participate in the blog hop for Our Craft Lounge.
I am also so thrilled to announce that I am now on the design team for Our Craft Lounge!
I {heart} their stamps and now I get to play with them all the time!
YAY!
This is actually a picture frame! I made it when Bella announced that her class is celebrating her teacher's birthday tomorrow! She wanted me to make her a "real" gift. I thought this would be cute....it the Bookworm set from OCL. The frame is covered with DCWV red paper (a 12x12 sheet trimmed down). The green is also DCWV.
I sewed the green strip of paper on with my Janome sew mini. The images are stamped with black soot ink on white cardstock, then then colored with copics. I mounted the sentiments on scraps of the green cardstock. They were placed on the frame with dimensionals. I used some buttons with green thread to add to the strip of green (WT220: Buttons).
So that is it in a nutshell! Lots of changes coming this summer! I am really excited to get back in the stampin' groove!

Thank You Hanna!!!
There has been nothing more thrilling for me than being on design teams. I was one of the original members of the Hanna Stamps! design teams. I recently have decided that it is time to let someone else have the fun! Hanna will always be in my heart - Kristi took a chance on me - and she was so wonderful to me. For a LONG time I was spoiled and allowed to play with the newest stamps on the market! Kristi even named one of the moose stamp sets after my daughter, Sophie G. Kristi, thank you so much for everything! It was my pleasure and honor to work with you!

FS121: Rox71
This week's featured stamper is Rox! You need to really check out her {gallery} to see all the amazing cards. I picked out {WT219 Ice Cream Cone} to play with! I love it....simple yet CAH-----UTE!!!!
Changes:
- Flipped card sideways
- used different embossing folder
- used different stamp
- added a button
This is a simple one layer card with a smidge of dry pressure embossing and a little scoring. I need to make some thank you notes for Sophie's birthday presents and thought that this was a great card for mass producing. The card Rox used had an ice cream cone (double stamped). I used the flower, stamped it twice, trimmed it carefully, then colored it with copics and adhered it with a dimensional! A button in the center of the flower and some stickles finishes the design. The sentiment is also Papertrey!
I adore this card! I am sure that Sophie's friends will love it too!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Oh my beautiful Sophia Grace (Sophie G). You make me smile every day! I love you more than words can ever describe!
Sophie shares her birthday with my special friend, Joy!
Happy Birthday Joy!
Here is a card I made with the new OCL stamp set Hangin' Loose with Kona....Look how CUTE!!! KOWABUNGA DUDE! It's your birthday!
This is also for the SCS Color Challenge this week:
CC220 (bashful blue, pumpkin pie, so saffron). I used Crate Paper (Roper from the Cowboy pack). I used the textile cuttlebug folder for the bashful layer. Can you see the stitching (zig zag) adhering the bashful to the saffron. I used some stitching on the bottom too -- to attach the patterned paper to the bashful layer on the bottom. I used a mayarts ribbon threaded through a saffron button, tied in a bow. It's easy to get a nice tight bow when you thread it through the button! Which leads me to this weeks WT220 Challenge - ways to use buttons! This is the first time I have threaded the button like this and I love it -- I could *reall* get that button on there nice!
Kona is colored in with copics. I also used stickles on the waves to make em sparkle! I know this won't get to Joy in time, but it will get there eventually!
Love you Joy! And I LOVE YOU SOPHIE G!

FS120: Oh Mercy, Mercy Me.....
Lord Have Mercy --- it's a busy Memorial day weekend! Two weddings and a birthday party!
Why not check out Mercy's gallery to case some cards!!! Check it out here {Mercy's Gallery}.
My first card, based on Mercy's {Forever Friends} card. Changes: colors, stamp set, used buttons instead of brads. I liked the layout, but reversed the colors, white base, bright color on top. I used the Sophie G. inner tube stamp and the sentiment from Things Hanna Would Say {happy birthday}. I did some sewing on the card instead of the paper piercing. I ran out of bobbin thread mid way through sewing, so had to go over the card twice. I colored Sophie in with copics, then added some drips with copics and sakura stardust. I also added some stardust to the accessories on Sophie to make her look wet. Mayarts ribbon moved down just above the SU! designer paper. This was for Hailey's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAILEY!)
Wedding number one....based on {forever friend}. Changes: colors, stamp set, added flower. Instead of designer paper, I used textured cardstock (using the cuttlebug folders). Added a button and ribbon instead of the clip and added the flower instead of the three brads. Colored Riley & Sophie G with copics. Sentiment from Wishing You {Papertrey}. Bashful, Navy & Brocade cardstock.
Here is the second wedding card....based on {Nov. Bday Cards}. I changed colors, made the card square, changed stamp sets and added a strip of ribbon. Instead of sewing a straight stitch all around the card, I used a zig zag stitch on the bottom. The wedding colors will be nevy and yellow (West Point Graduates). I used some navy textured coordinations paper, some banana and marigold (SU!) and my swiss dots cb folder. Once again, Riley and Sophie G. are colored with copics. I used some stickles on Sophie's dress.
Thanks for the inspiration Mercy!

Twins Birthday
I made these cards for my beautiful twin nieces.....
they had a birthday this past month!
I used papertrey inks Friends till the end and Birthday Basics. The image is stamped with black ink (ranger/black soot).
The papers are from Stampin' Up! I used real read and pink passion, along with green galore. I have so many pattered papers, I have to use them up!
The images are colored with copics. Buttons in the center, white sheer ribbon on both. It's hard to see, but the layer under the main image is punched with the SU! scalloped edge punch. Sentiment is punched out with a word window punch.
Stamps: Papertrey Ink {Friends till the end} {Birthday Basics}
paper: SU! real red, pink passion, green galore, white, designer paper

FS119: Just Joan.....
Am I dating myself when I think of Romancing the Stone/Jewel of the Nile movies and Kathleen Turner's character....Joan Wilder....they start calling her JustJoan.....
I always think of that when I hear Joan. I also think of my late Mother in law whom we named our second born after! I love the name Joan. I also ADORE Joan Ervin, stamper extraordinaire....
Here is the card which I cased: WT213 Silhouette Wishes
And here is my card:
I kept the same colors and layout -- and the changes are the ribbon (went from organza to a black silk embossed). I changed the stamp set (to Bees Knees - Our Craft Lounge). I loved the colors (black and pink passion), but wanted to use patterned paper. I colored the images in with copics. Why not have a pink bee hive and pink bees. It's different.....it's pink-a-licious....sentiment is also from the same Bee's Knees set...what do you think of pink bees?
stamps: Bees Knees {Our Craft Lounge}
paper: white, black, pink passion, SU! dp
ink: black, copics
misc: dimensionals, nesties, copics, punches, ribbon

FS118: Debbie best fishes
Here is a second card I made for Debbie's Featured Stamper week! The card I cased is {Give Me A Moo}. I changed the colors, stamps and moved the ribbon.
I started with a saffron base (instead of white), then added some designer paper (SU!). The pretty in pink & turquoise paper are layered under the sentiment and main image. The main image is colored with copics. I tried a new technique with my copics, coloring the background with B000, then B00 in waves, then using the blender pen (copic), I created ripples in the water....I think it looks neat!
The buttons are colored with copics as well and adhered to the top corner. I moved the ribbon placement to under the main image.
What do you think? This is for my AWESOME sister in law Jenny (said in my best Forrest Gump voice).....I love ya Jenny!
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge {bubbles}
paper: saffron, pretty in pink, tempting turquoise, white
ink: copics, black
misc: ribbon, shell buttons (colored with copics)
FS118: Debbie
This week's featured stamper is Debbie Corbari {aka dbdoodle}
Yes....my real life BFF is this week's featured stamper. I have been waiting until a good week to feature her...and this is it!
She and her family usually come up every Saturday night. Instead, last night we went to dinner and a movie. Usually on Saturday night, we eat dinner, make our featured stamper card and then play rock band.
This was one of the few chances I could surprise her. {SURPRISE}
I cased Debbie's {Sheila Owl} card. I ended up changing the colors and stamp set and eliminating the mini tag & brad. I started with a Papertrey aqua mist base. I did a zig zag stitch around the entire outside of the card. Then I used my very own {yes, can you believe it} stamp from the Papertrey {Tags for Spring} stamp set. I used spring moss ink on the white papertrey cardstock. I mounted the stamped images on a die cut (nestabilities) piece of spring moss and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I tucked some ribbon (aqua mist polkadot/Papertrey Ink) under the main image. I used a brad in the center of the flower. It was a white brad and I colored it with copics to match the aqua mist.
I got a plant (gerber daisies) for my mom for Mother's day. I used a piece of aqua mist around the outside of the green bag, then added the same stamped image to the front of the bag. This time, I used a little tag with a brass brad (like Debbie's original card). The Spring flowers sentiment was cute! The tag was made with the edge of a scalloped square punch. I used this same technique on the one edge to make a tag. Sentiment is aqua mist ink.
Hope my mom likes the daisies...
I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's day.....
I went to church this evening so that I could spend the morning sipping coffe and cuddling with the six pack & Todd.

CAS02: Pool Floaties!
This makes me think of Float Friday at our pool. This stamp is *SO* Xavier....this is my son - 100%. He is a waterbug.... this photo was taken at the pool on his birthday.
I started with a white base, and added a half sheet of designer paper. I had some fun summer colors on some designer paper in my 12x12 stash. I stamped the main image on white cardstock with black soot ink. Then I used some copics to color the main image. The sentiment is stamped on only orange. A white button with some white sheer polkadot ribbon threaded through. I used some baubles on the bottom of the main image.
Simple, clean card....qualifies for CAS02 - one button will do!
paper: white, designer paper (SU!), blue textured
stamps: Hanna {Pool Party}
ink: black soot, copics
misc: baubles, white may arts ribbon (sheer polkadot), button (papertrey)
CAS13: Hey Sunshine
Here is my entry for the CAS13 . I used a white base with a green galore layer. The white layer has circles of bold bright colors, stamped with some of the fun accessory stamps from the new To the beach set from Hanna Stamps! I used the sentiment from Things Hanna Would Say. I highlighted with a white gel pen.
this is for the Clean & Simple challenge #13
stamps: Hanna {Thing Hanna would say, To the beach}
ink: black
paper: white, real red, only orange, yo yo yellow, gable green, glorious green, lovely lilac, tempting turquoise
misc: circle punch, white gel pen
