Introducing: Lock & Key, Day One

The latest stamp set which I created for Papertrey ink is called Lock & Key. It will be available on 12.15.11 and it is a wonderfully versatile stamp set. Keys, particularly skeleton keys, have fascinated me: their intricate details, the history they hold. Each key is so unique. I see locks & keys being used in all kind of decorating - from wall art to jewelry.

I love the rich iron color and the details of this decoration:

How fun is this - the variation of shapes and colors against the plain craft background. What a fun display for an entry to your home.

A single key offset in a frame is an elegant look:

These beautiful necklaces with pearls and gems make them so elegant against the silver, contrasted by the leather cord.

Keys and locks used in patterns make a great background!

A single key, so simple, yet so special and unique.

A group of keys, different colors, creating an amazing design on a wall!

So what do you think? Are you ready for a few days of samples....I am going to go nice and slow and start out with just one sample - but I will have you know, I have been crafting up a STORM with this set!

I used raspberry & black for this card! It makes for a fun Valentine, don't you think? I used a papertrey die to cut the black cardstock, then a scalloped punch for the white. The key and lock are both included in the stamp set....see the heart in the handle? Coordinates so cute with the sentiment, don't you think? And cutting out the keys and lock is easy, peasy, lemon squeezy with the coordinating dies.

I used some may arts ribbon on the bottom of the die cut... and the lock and key are adhered with a foam square!

Day two is going to be fun, so check back in ....and be sure to check out all the other designers...

I love your feedback - so let me know what you think!

I live in an old 1922 craftsman house and still have the original locks and keys. I love these old style keys and this set just made me smile tonight! Looking forward to seeing more samples! Thanks!
