Our Craft Lounge Blog Hop {Penguin Fun}
I created a simple card with the penguin set - using some fun polka dot paper! I added a few punched snowflakes, which are covered with dabs of stickles. I also added some stickles to the snowbank and the snowballs. Penguin colored with copics.
I also created a simple holiday gift. I love keeping candles around the house (I got a two pack of some nicely scented candles at Target). I simply wrapped some designer paper around the glass container, then added a strip of wide white organza ribbon. I punched the stamped sentiment out with an oval punch and layered on a piece of oval punched celery. I added some punched snowflakes (with small buttons in the center) and dazzled the snowflakes with stickles.
This is an easy 5 minute creation which is so cute to give as a hostess gift for those last minute holiday cocktail parties. Keep a few candles on hand in your craft room for those quick, easy presents.
The back has the big , beautiful bow! Fun and simple!

Happy Birthday - Get to the point!
Fast forward to this Spring - we celebrated the fact that our local community has rallied around Miss Hannah and raised millions of dollars. They have gone from a death sentence for this adorable little girl to knowing that within the next year - there WILL be a CLINICAL TRIAL for Hannah and the dozens of children like her effected with GAN. Here is Hannah with my son, Xavier, at the Hope & Love Ball this past year.
And here is the card which I made for Matt, Hannah's dad, when we finally celebrated his birthday!
This card was fairly simple and clean - some buttons, some stamped images from Get To The Point and Get To The Point Sentiments. I stamped the arrow in tempting turquoise. The sentiment is stamped in black ink - the number 2 in celery ink and the U in pumpkin. The designer paper (larger oval) is DCWV.
You can help Hannah -- for FREE!~ HANNAH'S HOPE FUND {PEPSI REFRESH EVERYTHING CHALLENGE} is underway right now. Hannah's Hope Fund is eligible for a $250k grant from Pepsi!
The money will help put Hannah closer to clinical trials.

FS184: CAKath
changes are - colors, stamp set - removed pearls from side, added ribbon to main image instead of corner.
I used my new stamp set Been Boo'd, being released tonight from Papertrey Ink. I used a kraft base, stamped the stars in black on pumpkin cardstock, layered it on black, added the wide gingham ribbon. I stamped the star with black ink on pumpkin, punched it out (it fits in the star punch), then added a button to the star. I edged the star with some stickles to give it some bling!

Sneak Peek: Been Boo'd! {take out box}
There is just some ribbon tied on the handle and a small sentiment banner attached to the handle. I stamped the sentiment and small bat on the pumpkin cardstock and folded it over, added some adhesive and attached it to the handle.
I was able to fill this take out box with my FAVORITE candy - Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!!! These are the miniature versions...so you can stuff a bunch in there! YUM!
Wouldn't this just make someone's day? I may put this on Todd's desk at work!
ink: black
paper: pumpkin
misc: ribbon (PTI), miniature take out box (kraft)

Sneak Peek: Been Boo'd! {boo kit}
You've been BOO'd!
What is BOO-ing? It's a fun neighborhood tradition that takes place in neighborhoods all over the country. It is the autumn version of "Secret Santa": secretly leaving small gift bags or BOO baskets, BOO instructions and a BOO SIGN at a neighbor's door. In turn, the neighbor is asked to BOO two others, leading to a chain reaction--and Halloween fun.
Accompanying the Boo-Gram is a collection of goodies, determined by the giver. The goodies may vary from small Halloween treats (candy, decorations and toys). The magic of these Boo-Grams is the reciprocation of this gift! It is expected that when you are "Boo'd", you must turn around and quickly "Boo" 2 other neighbors as well!The possibilities for creating Boo Kits are endless, and now they can be 100% Papertrey!
Here is a fun BOO kit which I designed!
My daughter, Karen, loves to take my copic markers and make stickers with them with Avery address labels. She places the stickers, punched out with circle punches on the back of her cards. It gave me a great idea for some candy wraps for a Boo Kit.
First start out with some markers and some Avery address labels....color your light color first
Add some darker ink to the edges of the label...
Go back and add some ink to blend in the colors....
I used the star cluster stamp which fits perfectly in an Avery Address label with the True black ink.
Look how nice and clean that black pops against the copic background on the label.
Using clear acrylic stamps allows you to stamp several labels at once....
doesn't that look nice?
Simply peel the label off the sheet and wrap them around Hershey's Nuggets.
Look how adorable these are....these make a great addition to your boo kit!
I created a candle to go in the kit. I found an expensive Pumpkin Spice candle and wrapped the outside of the candle with designer paper and then added some stars (stamped in terracotta tile and summer sun) with buttons. I created a simple tag and added some terracotta ribbon and rustic thread. Very simple and festive for the Autumn season! The tag reads "ghostly greetings".
You can use any type of container to put your goodies in. I used a simple kraft bag, stamped with some of the fun stamps from Been Boo'd. I used some ribbon on the handle and stuffed the bag with some white tissue paper spritzed with copper and graphite glimmer mist.
Here is a close up of the tag. I love this little ghost, but he looks a little friendlier with a cute little witch hat. The hat and ghost are both stamped on stampers select white with true black ink. I used some stickles on the edge of the hat and ghost. I added some copics to the edges of the ghost to give it some definition.
The reverse of the tag has the Boo Poem, which is also part of the Been Boo'd set. It is great to have this, because you need to include a few copies of this poem in your kit.
Daring players attempt to "Boo" their neighbors in the broad daylight or early evening hours, as it increases the possibility of getting caught... those familiar with the famous "doorbell ditch" prank of their childhood years will be happy to know that this tradition lives on, though the recipient gets a fun gift in the process.
Many neighborhoods start in early October, however the common time to start seeing "Boo-Grams" is a couple of weeks before Halloween. With this new set from Papertrey, you don't have to wait for someone to "Boo" you! Now you can start the tradition in your neighborhood... you'll be surprised how quickly the excitement spreads around the neighborhood!
Ready? Set? BOO!

Sneak Peek: Been Boo'd {spooktacular}
Welcome to day three of the Been Boo'd sneak peeks! I just *LOVE* the way this card came out!
It is so clean and fun! I used a piece of Kraft for the base, added some pumpkin and used versamark with the star background. The moon is stamped with the vintage cream and the star, sentiment and the bats in the black ink. Some black buttons with the rustic thread through them on each side of the sentiment. I used some rustic thread on the orange button, but I colored it with a copic black marker to make it really pop~! A little piercing along the edge of the pumpkin gives it a fun look, don't you think?
Tomorrow I am going to show the Boo Kit that I put together! FUN STUFF! Be sure to check out the other blogs for more sneak peeks of the August Papertrey Releases. Nichole is sure to wow! Check out her blog {here}
