FS182: Every cloud has a silver lining....

And Alanna's gallery shimmers of gold! This week I took a card from Alanna's gallery (al_silver2) called {Thanks A Bunch} and cased it. I changed the stamp set and didn't use twinkle stickers. I used the Our Craft Lounge Hangin' Loose with Kona set to create the sentiment, sand and main image. I started off with a 5x5 square base with rounded corners. I sponged the edges with the cream ink. I stamped the sand with PTI dark chocolate and cream ink on the kraft paper. I stamped the crab and Kona on white paper and colored them with copics. I trimmed the colored images and then adhered them to the card with dimensionals. I added some bing to the surfboard and board-shorts with stickles. The sentiment is from Kona, stamped in dark chocolate. I added some shadowing under the images with some copics.

Stamps: Our Craft Lounge Hangin' Loose with Kona
Paper: white, kraft
Ink: dark chocolate, black, cream, copics
misc: stickles, corner rounder, dimensionals

FS181: I am Raving over Ravengirl

I created my card this evening based on Toni's card {One Stylized Flower}. I loved the clean and simple look of Toni's design. The changes: eliminated the dry pressure embossing and changed the colors & stamps.

Instead of using the dry pressure embossing, I used some designer paper (DCWV) and a stamped image from Our Craft Lounge's {Pretty Petals}. The leaf is from Fabulous Florals. The sentiment is from {Prayers & Blessings}.

I stamped the flower twice with raspberry PTI ink on regal card stock. I used some copics to slightly alter the color of the petals and then layered the trimmed, stamped images atop one another with some dimensionals. I added some stickles to the center of the flower and a little bit to each petal. I stamped the leaf from Fabulous Florals and colored the leaf with copics, then distressed the edges.

I used some twill instead of the ribbon which Toni used on her card. The sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge's {Prayers & Blessings}. I stamped it on a regal tag (used a tag punch) with PTI raspberry ink. I tied the tag with some rustic thread.

Stamps: OCL: flower {Pretty Petals}, leaf Fabulous Florals, sentiment {Prayers & Blessings}
Paper: Kraft, Regal, Celery, pattern paper (DCWV)
Ink: raspberry, moss (PTI), copics
Misc: Twill, stickles, rustic thread, tag punch, dimensionals

FS180: 1busymomof2

If you think Latisha is busy....you must not be paying attention...I haven't blog posted since the 3rd of July! HOLY WOW! I have been so crazy busy this summer - so much going on - so little time to stamp. It's been a scorcher here in NY this summer - how about where you are?

So here is a little card I threw together for the challenge this week, based on Latisha's card {here}. I changed the stamp set to OCL Big Birthday Wishes, the colors to these greens, blues and orange, and made the circle into an oval on my card (the main image).

Gotta post this quick because we are having super duper thunderstorms here!

stamps: OCL Big Birthday Wishes
paper: white, DCVW, blue (SU)
ink: black
misc: twill, copper cord, PTI button, oval punch

FS178: Cookiebaker

This week's FS is Cookiestamper (Charlene). I based my card on {this Mackinac Island} card. I changed the stamp set and colors. I created a patriotic card and kept the "button wheel" theme. I used a 4.25 square base with some red cardstock (3.25 inch square) and some designer paper (DCWV). I used the adorable Our Craft Lounge set Patriotic Parade. It is such an adorable set!

I stamped, colored and cut out the bear, TNT and wagon. I used some white buttons on the wagon and colored the inside of the buttons with a blue copic marker. The bear, wagon and TNT are all popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped on red cardstock and I used a white galaxy marker on the stars. Then I popped that up on dimensionals and added some stickles to all the stars on the card.

stamps: Our Craft Lounge {patriotic parade}
paper: white, red, designer paper (DCWV)
ink: black, copic markers
misc: dimensionals, buttons (PTI), punch (SU!), white galaxy pen, stickles

FS177:

ink: plum, hawaiian shores

FS174: nikkischmaltz

This week's FS is Nikki, aka Nikkischmaltz. She has a FUN gallery! I saw this CUTE {leaf} thanks card. I had to try and recreate it with a twist!

Changes: colors, stamp set. I used kraft as the base and a strip of some old SU! designer paper. There is some hibiscus burst on top of the designer paper. The flowers from Fabulous Flowers and sentiment from Say it with flowers is stamped in Hibiscus burst ink. The swirl and smaller flower in the center of the large flower, also from Fabulous Flowers, was stamped in white snow. I used a hibiscus dotted ribbon and a white button with a prima flower on top. I used some pearl white dew drops in the center of the flowers and prima. Simple, clean card!

stamps: Fabulous Flowers, Say it with flowers {Our Craft Lounge}
paper: kraft, hibiscus bust, designer paper {SU!}
ink: hibiscus burst, white snow
misc: ribbon (PTI), button (misc), prima, dew drops (white pearl)
