12 Days of Christmas - 9 ladies dancing

So this is for the Papercraft plant Twelve Days of Christmas. This is my entry....

My lady is doin' the DISCO dance!!!

Real red, yo yo yellow and only orange cardstock. The disco ball is made with a piece of going grey paper, cut with a circle punch, covered with two way glue and then big chunk glitter.

The real red is run through the swirls folder - the orange through the bloom dots folder. I used the SU! scalloped edge punch on the side and bottom of the yellow.

Hanna is stamped on GP white with black soot and colored with copics. Sakura stardust on the headband, belt and stitching on the jeans....

paper: real red, only orange, yo yo yellow, white, going grey
ink: black soot, copics

Baby It's cold outside!!!

My folks and I took my kids to this outdoor holiday event in Clifton Park.

This company {Quick Response} does this FREE event locally - it is pretty impressive - if it was just the lights it would be spectacular. They actually bus people in from various places - they have these characters walking around - free cocoa, popcorn, train rides, amusement rides, bonfire, SANTA!

I took a few pictures - the rest I put in my {facebook album}

We got to see the "big guy" - it was really cold - and we had gone to church at 4 pm, so the kids were getting antsy to eat dinner - we didn't stay too long - but we stayed long enough to really enjoy ourselves!

FS96: Annascreations

This week's featured stamper is Anna (aka Annascreations). I really enjoy her gallery - {this card} really caught my eye. I loved the color scheme and the white ribbon....

I decided to do a little change up - I made it a square card....then changed around the colors and made the main image kraft. If you are using kraft, you must be channeling PINE!!! I grabbed Rustic Snowflakes and Snowfall Additions from Papertrey Ink. My BFF, Nichole knows how to throw together talent I tell ya! Pine created this amazing set that coordinates with punches! Sha-zam! What a time saver that is! No more cutting....just stamp and punch.

The card starts out with a base of black cardstock. I added a layer of white, then a layer of kraft. I sewed the white and kraft together with a zig zag stitch. I stamped snowflakes with white craft ink all over the kraft paper. Stamped the sentiment in black soot. There is pearl glimmer mist from Eclectic Paperie on the kraft paper. I used a scrap of black paper, spritzed it with the pearl glimmer mist as well. I punched a smaller snowflake punch with kraft, rubbed it in white ink and then sprinkled glitter on it. I used a back button (SU!) with some hemp, tied in a knot. The snowflakes were separated from one another with dimensionals. I tied a white sheer polkadot ribbon around the card (mayarts/starlitstudio.net). This was a fun one to make! What do you think?

stamps: Snowfall additions, rustic snowflakes {Papertreyink}
ink: white craft, black soot
paper: black, white, kraft
misc: dimensionals, glitter, glimmer mist (pearl), ribbon (mayarts/starlitstudio), button (SU!), hemp, punches (snowflake Papertreyink)

Hanna Stamps! Tag it!

I created this Tag with the Vintage Toy set from Hanna Stamps. I created the tag with a rectangle piece of real red cardstock. I added a scalloped edge piece of white cardstock and a piece of black cardstock. I sewed the white and black pieces with a zig zag stitch. The soldier was stamped with black soot on copics. I used some sakura stardust on the green areas, the feather on his cap, the buttons (sorry - it's hard to see). I used the slot punch (SU!) and tied some fun ribbon on top. Sentiment from {Just what I wanted to say} in black soot.

stamps: Vintage Toys, Just what I wanted to say {Hanna}
ink: black soot, copics, sakura stardust
paper: real red, black, white
misc: stitching (janome), dimensionals, ribbon (mayarts), SU! punches (slot, scalloped edge)

Hanna Sneak Peek - I dream of Hanna

Here is another card from the new release Hanna's. This one (I dream of Hanna) features this fun lamp! Aladdin was one of my favorite Disney movies! I love the Genie...I could probably recite the entire movie (I know my daughter Karen could!) Bring me the lamp!
This card base is from the DCWV set I got at Joannes. I am using up my supplies people. I have a ton and in order to get more - I have to use the old stuff. This uber-sparkly card is so bling-i-fied that is almost makes me cry with sheer joy! I stamped the lamp on GP white twice, once on the rectangular base, once on a scrap. I colored both with copics, trimmed out the scrap one and mounted it to the other lamp with a dimensional. I used copics to color the swirls and then sakura stardust on the swirls. I used stickles on the lamp, then sewed on two ribbon scraps with a zig zag stitch. Sentiment stamped in black on the bottom. Simple card, but UBER fun!!! Don't you think?

stamps: Hanna (I dream of Hanna)
ink: black, copics
paper: DCWV card base (red sparkle), white, black
misc: dimensionals, ribbon (mayarts/starlitstudio), sakura stardust, stickles

If the Trailer is a rockin.....

It's probably just Sophie G. partying!!!

As Stevie Ray Vaughan sang:
Well - the house is a rockin dont bother knockin
Yeah - the house is a rockin dont bother knockin
Yeah - the house is a rockin dont bother come on in

Kick off your shoes start losin the blues
This old house aint got nothin to lose
Seen it all for years start spreadin the news
We got room on the floor come on baby shake sumpin loose

Wasabi textured cardstock, trimmed to a 4.5x4.x5 square, a piece of dcwv polkadot patterned paper is sewn inside the card to give it a fun edge. The main image is stamped on GP white and then I masked the trailer, stamped on the trees. Everything is colored with copics. Sentiments typed out on computer, printed on cardstock and trimmed/adhered to card. PARTY AT THE TRAILER!!!

stamps: Riley trailer, tis the season (tree)
ink: copics, black soot
paper: wasabi, DCWV pp, black, GP white
misc: sewing (sewed the patterned paper inside), fonts, black gel pen!

Hanna Sneak Peek - Pin Up Hanna

This card is just my wierd humor....sorry! Thanks for your support (get it, support?)....Work with me people! I stamped the corset and the bra with black soot ink on GP white paper. It is my favorite combo for coloring with copics. I colored the images in with copics, then mounted the image on textured rose red. The sentiment was printed on the computer, then mounted on a scrap of the rose red. Some white sheer polkadot ribbon around the main image and through the button. Do you have trouble throwing out buttons. You know - the little bags attached to your sweaters and shirts? I save them. I put one to use today. Did it proud against the basic grey paper. I love basic grey paper. I need to use it more often. I think I will go on a basic grey kick. What do you think? Use a couple of sheets.....

So tomorrow is the big release party on SCS! Then Friday this set goes on sale. I am warning you, this Hanna looks SO much like me {snicker}.....one hot mama in heels, some bubbles, bubble gum, the bra and corset....it screams FRECKLED AND FUN!!! {grin}

stamps: Pin up Hanna!
ink: black soot, copics (Eclectic Paperie)
paper: Rose red (SU!), GP white, Basic Grey (Eclectic Paperie)
misc: ribbon (Mayarts/starlitstudio), button (extra from recently purchased clothing), computer font
